Default Like Dickson Dozen, Wisconsin open carry lawsuits work like drano!

Seems to me that last year the Dickson Dozen helped make PA safe for open carry. And now litigation in Wisconsin is doing the same thing:

My my, what a difference a few months can make.

Not long ago, gun owners in Wisconsin had reason to fear carrying handguns even though no statute proscribes open carry and the Wisconsin supreme court says that gun carry is a fundamental right. But then gun owners started to stand up. . . . Then all this hubbub apparently induced Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen to issue an official memorandum to police and prosecutors two weeks ago stating the obvious - that open carry is legal in Wisconsin, constitutionally protected, and not disorderly conduct. And now it's springtime for gun rights in Wisconsin as gun owners begin open carrying in places like West Allis, New Berlin, and Wakeesha while planning open carry get togethers like picnics and litter pick-ups around the state, including in La Crosse, Milwaukee, and Green Bay.

Great article. I get up there quite a lot and hope the people of Wisconsin prevail in getting their rights back.

This is indeed great news. But it's only the beginning. We still have a long hard fight ahead of us.

it''s a great idea. Get out, do some community service, get the average WI resident to realize that criminals not guns are the things to be afraid of.

Plus, the more good press law abiding gun owners get, the more the Milwaukee Sheriff looks like a giant asshat.

Yet we hear of the big city police chiefs defying this order, and insisting on arresting law-abiding open carriers, as recently as this week.

I am hoping that the ensuing lawsuits make theses ass-clowns realize that THEY are PUBLIC SERVANTS, responsible for upholding the laws, and they are not the law unto themselves.
