OK, does anyone else notice I start a lot of threads with OK?
Well hell, if you can't make fun of yourself who can!
I was glancing over some of the threads I've started lately and it appears I have been infected by the OK bug.
OK bug
[definition]
1. a propensity to start comments, questions and topic with the letters OK
2. The inability to gather ones thoughts without the use of an abbreviation of the word Okay
3. The inability to NOT sound like a female teenager from the Los Angeles valley
[accepted cure]
1. Those infected with the OK bug must first come to the realization they have a problem and we are powerless against its evilness
2. Believe a higher power of dictionaries, encyclopedias and thesauruses exits
3. Make a decision to turn their brains over to that higher power
4. Take stock in our words each and every day before writing them
5. Admit to all they are infected by this bug
6. Make a list of all people we have wronged with such pathetic uses of the English language
7. Make direct amends to all those exposed to the bug
8. Continue to fight the bug and admit when we have slipped back into its clutches

Re: OK, does anyone else notice I start a lot of threads with OK?
don't worry...everything will be OK.
(actually, i do that a lot in real conversation. people will ask me a question that i know has a rather long, drawn out answer...and i will often start off with "OK". it is meant as "alright, i will answer your question, but get ready and pay attention, because it is not quick and easy..." your posts tend to be well thought out and detailed...and, thus, not quick and easy...so, i think starting them out with "OK" makes sense in a conversational mode--and, i for one, tend to think of forums as more of a conversation than actual writing.
so, as far as i am concerned, go ahead and keep starting your posts with OK...)F*S=k

Well, ( I think I start most of my posts with 'well') I think if you are going to put that much effort into the answer you may as well say, "Alright, i will answer your question, but get ready and pay attention, because it is not quick and easy..." instead of OK.
