Default California: Man shot in back while walking past police range

Here's a video of the news report.

My intent is not to bash police officers in any way, shape, or form. This story just highlights the cost of complacency and what happens when The Standard Rules For Safe Gun Handling are not followed. If it could happen to them during their training, it could happen to any of us during ours.

    Stay safe, my friends.

What really gets me is when firearms instructors take a class to the range, and then don't follow standard range protocol...I've seen guys go in front of the firing line unannounced...good way to teach your students how to get shot.

I don't know what the hell is wrong with you guys. It wasn't the instructors, or the students, it was the fucking gun's fault!

    ARG that pisses me off.

If that would happen to me, I'd be thrown in jail for years.

    Fucking double standard.

and sadly, the lack of charges is super predictable. the massive double-standard is as obvious as it is old.

    yay for police states.

I wish the family the best of luck in it's law suit. Somehow I think it will fall flat though. Sounds like a nice place to live. DA should be helping the family I would think.

Wasn't some guy thrown in the gulag not that long ago because a bullet ricocheted?

This is screwed up. I would sue the piss out of them. The public can't 'opt out' of cooperating without seriuos ramifications, same with the police.

I'd push this up as high as it would go, and bankrupt myself in the process if need be. This shit needs to stop.
