Default Going to see if my Phila LTCF is ready. . .

    Hello all.
As some of you may know, I applyed for my LTCF in philadelphia about 5 weeks ago.

I called the unit today and they said there max time is eight weeks. She said my LTCF may be done, and to stop by if I was around the area to see.

Since I am off tomorrow, 4/29, I am going to head down and see if its ready. Its proly not going to be, but I am off with nothing to do in the morning.

    So we will see.

Any one from Philly get there LTCF before 8 weeks?

Hmmmm... let's see... 8 weeks x 7 days in a week = 56 days. Not quite within the 45 day limit set by PA statute

It would seem NOT, but Philly doesn't care and they do as they please. See here:

Went over today and talked to a very nice lady. She looked up my file and told me it should only be 1-2 more weeks. She gave me my file number and told me to call the end of next week.

    So, I am almost there. . . . . . . .

So, I guess she didn't give you any explanation as to why it's so long? Very busy, lots of applicants, etc?

Oh well, hang in there, you're close

At least you talked with a "very nice lady".

If this is the case, can't we philadelphians who have had to wait longer than 45 days work up a class action against the city of Philadelphia???
