Does Pennsylvania have a Recall Initiative?
If so, I would suggest applying it to Spector! I know the SOB has one foot in the Grave, the other on a Banana Peel, but he's still ready willing and able to do damage to the cause for Liberty. He'll create situations that the rest of us will have to live with for a long long time!

Re: Does Pennsylvania have a Recall Initiative?
because he is now a democrat, or because you have links to specific proposals and bills that warrant your thread?
pafoa is light on the facts and heavy on the diatribe these days.

Re: Does Pennsylvania have a Recall Initiative?
(me shrugs) Just don't vote for him in the next election.
The real answer is 42.

Re: Does Pennsylvania have a Recall Initiative?
Pennsylvania DOES NOT have a recall mechanism. The only way a sitting elected official may be removed from office is by election or conviction of a felony mentioned in the state's constitution. Of course, the elected official could die or resign.

Re: Does Pennsylvania have a Recall Initiative?
I contacted my local representative and asked the same question.
However, if Spector was recalled or impeached, that would allow Rendell to appoint a replacement to serve out the term. Not good!
So, we're stuck with Spector until 2010.
Just make sure we get a solid 2nd Amendment supporter in office then. And that is going to be a tough battle. Pat Toomey is good, but his anti-abortion stance won't attract many folks in Philly or Pittsburgh.

Re: Does Pennsylvania have a Recall Initiative?
Better to focus efforts on voting against him. Recalls consume vast amounts of resources which are usually better spent elsewhere.

Re: Does Pennsylvania have a Recall Initiative?
The latest polls show Specter would win in a landslide as a Democrat in the general election against Toomey if it were held today.

Re: Does Pennsylvania have a Recall Initiative?
My Rep told me .. " NO " .. a couple years back when I asked the same question.
I also asked .. " Well how do we get the Right to Recall " .. can't remember the answer, however I feel we should have the Right .
If we lived in Russia or China and had a Rep who announced a Pro-USA Party swap, what do you think they'd replace him with .. a Statue !
I'd like to know ... " Just what the heck is SSSSOOO important ... that it requires B H O + Rendell to .. " Court and Turn Specter " ?
Whats in the Pipeline that requires a Majority ?
What did they offer or threaten him with ?
