Default Can you use your LTCF as a valid form of Photo ID?

I was filling out some forms for work that required my driver license number and forgot to put my license back into my wallet. Later that night, I went to a house party with my sister and her roommate. On the way there, I stopped off at the corner store to buy a 6-pack and I realized that I didn't have my license on me. When the clerk asked for my photo ID, I gave him my LCTF. He seriously spent a good minute looking at it, then asked me "what is this?" I told him it was a license to carry firearms and it has my photo and DOB on it. He then reluctantly sold me my 6-pack of Blue Moon and I went on my merry way.

For future reference, If I'm ever at a bank or liquor store and for some reason I don't have my license on me, is the LTCF a valid photo ID?

Sorry if this has been covered here before.

YES....!You absolutely can use the LTCF as a secondary ID, I have used mine as a primary at least twice.

For you guys with PNC issues, talk to a manager or try another branch. I use my LTCF every time I withdraw cash, while open carrying, at multiple branches with zero issues. The first time I used it I asked if they would take it, and the teller said it was no issue as they had a dropdown list for a whple bunch of different types of ID

I think your lady's imagination is running a bit overboard...how in God's name can a LTCF be interpreted as a threat when asking for photo ID? If they ask for photo ID, thats pretty darn vague...plus,thats exactly what your giving them, photo ID.

If they ask for your PA state driver's license, then thats differnet. Your giving them something they didn't ask for, but I would in no way still see that as a threat.

I've also given my as a form of identification. No problems. People just usually ask what it is.

I stopped going there when they said that, months ago. Right after the change over.

Haha. On a related note, if you show your LTCF at a bank, do you think they may take it the wrong way and see the action as a "threat"? My girlfriend was convinced that could happen and that it's a bad idea to show your LCTF unless its to a LEO.
