    Default Hunting Backpack recommendations?

Can anyone recommend a good hunting backpack? I'm looking for something without zippers or minimal zippers (none on the main big compartment) because that's always where i have problems. The only thing i can seem to find with the draw strings and locks are the SERIOUS ones that look like you could live off of for weeks and have the metal frames. The old army ones i see at surplus have the latches but are too small to put much at all in.

what are you looking for a pack to do? day hikes / hunts with survival gear and packing in stuff or just enough to carry in a bottle of water, food, and hunting related items?

check www.sportsmansguide.com - they often have a lot of good options
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

I love my G.I. assault pack. It can carry a bunch of clothes, food, anything.

One of the various bags or packs from Maxpedition would be good. Very rugged, varying sizes, varying modes of attachment. Plus they have plenty of pockets, attachment points to hang other gear.

+1 on Maxpedition. I've been carrying my hunting gear in a Jumbo Versapack for two years now. It has all the space I need, is easy to put on and take off and keeps everything at my fingertips.
