Refinishing My SKS Rifle Stock (Photos)
Here's the stock to my Norinco SKS with all matching numbers. This one is getting a black steel vented hand guard, Murray's spring loaded firing pin, complete trigger job and a 1" rubber recoil pad.I love refinishing old military rifles and this is like my 12th rifle I've done.I sanded the stock down to bare wood and stained her in MinWax Red Oak and she's sealed in Tru-Oil.I applied like 7 coats of Tru-Oil so far buffing in between each coat but I still want to apply like 5-7 more coats before I put her all back together.
Working on the trigger right now and will post finished photos when she's all done.
