Stupid can't be cured, but ignorant can. Now that we've taken him to the woodshed and broken him down, lets see if we can build him up again into a solid member of the gun-owning community.

Good idea, also... That wood shed, it was actually a dynamite shed... Any one check to make sure he had no matches on him?

It is awful dark in there...

This is, without a doubt, one of the best and most hilarious threads I have ever read. Mickey, I love you. Your day with your girlfriend's father would be an awesome comedy on the big screen. Lots of physical laughs, Three Stooges style. Without a doubt, you rank right up there with the famous Mall Ninja. I mean, you can't be real. This has to be a joke. There is no possible chance that you're not someone else here having a joke on the rest of us. Because, if you are real...God help you, bro. Sell your guns and drop out of college, there's a job sorting glass waiting for you somewhere. You are, without a doubt, a Darwin Award waiting to happen.

You got a point there so I'll place a caveat here. Maybe we can help him. I know we can, but can he?

Well, it's been 50+ posts since mickey said anything.

I was kinda hoping that he slept on it for a bit and realized that his actions were, to say the least, not correct. Then I hoped that he would come back and say, "you know i was wound up after this and now that i calmed down i can see that everyone was just trying to help... but idk thats the way i am... idk if i can change...but thanks for the input and ill try not to become a statiskic and if i need to vent i know i can come here and people will try to help even if i know i was right"

I find it hard to believe that he has not had to do any major writing in college. If he has, I would be interested in the grade, couldn't be good; unless he posted just to see what our reactions were.

If not a joke/project, I hope he gets into a good basic writing class. He will quickly find out that the way he has been writing is not correct at any time. I would hate to be reading a job application/cover letter/resume from him.

The thing to keep in mind is that for some of the younger folks, typing the way he has here, to an extent anyway, is just as permissible as using slang in informal conversation. Many of the people that post like they're texting can be extremely eloquent speakers and skilled with the written word in more formal circumstances. Not saying this is the case here, but just something to think about.

Perhaps , but that would still leave the question of not realizing the need to tailor ones speech/writing to one's audience . I've been known, as Im sure most have, to run the gamut from swearing like a Marine , to when in public , say like teaching a class or giving a speech/debating in my recent election , to speaking /writing with near Shakespearean elegance.

In certain ways , having the ability and not recognizing the need to do so or worse , ignoring the need is worse then just being a lazy or illiterate person that doesnt know any better . Just sayin .................................
