Looking for a single action only 9mm pistol . . .
I'm on the hunt for a single action only 9mm pistol. I know there are 9mm 1911's out there, but I'd like more magazine capacity than that. I'd like to start shooting 9mm since .45ACP is getting a bit pricey to shoot as much as I'd like (and yes, I reload), and I want a single action gun. I hate DA/SA guns with a passion.
The only options I know of are the Para P18 (or whatever it's called) and the Sig Sauer P226 X-five series. Anything else out there?

not sure, but I think the new XDM from Springfield is single action only. It holds 20 rounds in 9mm, so that's nice. It may be double action only, but if it is, it has a very light trigger pull and you could install an even lighter one.

1911`s in 9 and I think somebody is making one that`s a double stack. Then there`s the FNP9 that`s a SA/DA and really sweet for around 480 or the sig 2022 with a similar set up for around 525. Maybe find an old Star 9mm sa only.

Maybe the good old Browning HiPower? That meets the criteria.
Cylinder& Slide can do a nice trigger job on them, I am told.
Or, you could get one of the S&W MOd 39, (or other SA/DA guns) and just ignore the D/A first shot, and cock the hammer manually. Have you ever fired a good Model 39? You may be impressed.

24/7dude is correct. Check out the XDm. It meets your criteria and is an outstanding firearm.

I would suggest Taurus 92/99, since you can carry them cocked and locked, but I think you dislike Taurus? If I'm misremembering, check 'em out.

if the only thing keeping you from a 1911 is mag cappacity then look hard at the Para double stck 1911's. They make on e in 9mm that holds IDK 18 or 20 some rounds.
If you want a SAO then i presume its for the trigger, there are some good non-1911 triggers out there, but the 1911 style usually wins hands down on that front.
stock CZ's triggers clean up nice with a trigger job too.
this CZ here is real attractive

I'll weigh in on the side of the High Power as well. If you want to go back in time a bit, Star made some nice SA 9mms
