Default Any Walther PPK or PPK/S recall updates?

Has anybody received their Walther PPK or PPK/S back from Smith and Wesson yet? I thought I had a thread started about this but I can't seem to find it.

I don't want to send my PPK/S in for service until I know they are actually sending back the guns in a timely manner.

    Thanks,
    -Zach

    Zach,

Still Waiting, My Buddy sent his in back in February, He said he called up there last week and they told him they were inundated with them and that his was probably "sitting out in the trailer with the others".

Of course his maybe getting held up cause he asked them to replace the trigger pin, his constantly backed out under fire, my understanding is that ALL PPK/s had a groove in the center of the pin that engaged the trigger spring to keep the pin from backing out, S&W for some reason went with a solid pin, so with nothing to retain it, it 'walks' under fire.

So if I was you, I'd wait.

Thank you guys very much! I have yet to hear about anybody receiving their PPK or PPK/S back from Smith and Wesson yet. I find that extremely difficult to believe...but maybe they are just pumping out guns right now while people are buying them and figuring they've already made the sale with everybody else.

Or maybe I'm just being a bit paranoid. :P

I just received my ppk/s back today.

I returned it at the end of March.
At the end of April, I called and they said it was still a 3 month turnaround.
It ended up taking almost exactly 2 months.

If anyone is interested, I'm selling it... It's clean from the factory and it has less than 200 rounds thru it. It has the Crimson Trace grips.

I just packed up my baby for Fed Ex. Hopefully it won't take 12 weeks...although I also have a cracked frame issue.

I received the first mailing of shipping labels to return my two-week old PPK and mailed it the same day I got the label. They received it on March 23, 2009. After two months I called and they said they were still working on their new pistols for retail. A month later they said that they were just finishing the PPK/s models and were waiting on parts for the PPK model. I was told that since mine was one of the earlier ones that I would be serviced in order of it's arrival and that it could be another 6-12 weeks. The guy asked for the serial number and had my name registered. My only other small CCW is a Taurus PT140 and it has a broken magazine release that is backordered. I'm tired of trying to conceal my large-frame CCWs.
I suppose that waiting is better than having a malfunction that could hurt somebody.
