i just found it the other day....
its right on suscan road, north of bald mountain road, which is the easiest way there for me from plains.

i took bald mtn road east until it t-ed with suscan road, made a left and proceeded north. the range was on the right, can't miss it.

If you are coming from Scranton on I-81 get off the Dupont exit, head down Main Street and look for Bear Creek Road. This road takes you up to the industrial park.

Just continue on Bear Creek Road which will turn into Suscon Road. About 4-5 miles up this road the range will be on your left near a turn in the road.

If you are in Wilkes-Barre and know where the casino is in Plains Twp you can take Jumper Road (which goes past the vo-tech school). Go through the tunnel which is now Bald Mt Road and continue on until you hit Suscon Rd. Make a left and the range will be about 1.5 miles on your right.

    If you have a GPS: N41 15.906 W75 41.526

JP and I went and sighted in his new .308 which was hella fun there. I forgot the targets so we used an Atlas road map book i had from like 05. Oh and don't bother trying to use google maps it tells you to go the wrong way....

Exclamation Re: Shooting ranges in Luzerne county

I was there yesterday at about 3pm. The range was close. There were workers down range doing something with the target hangers and ther was a piece of heavy equipment behind the rear berm. There were no signs about the range being closed or how long the work was going to take but the pickup at the end of the range sort of made it obvious.

There was an article (small) in last weeks paper that the range would be closed for a week or two in order to finish up some things.

I was at the range in Sweet Valley on Saturday.
It was a mess. The range is open but they have stuff ripped up everywhere. You would think after all those months of being closed it would have been complete when they opened the range. I also still thin the new layout sucks.

This range was a lot better when it was kept a little secret. I haven't been out there this year yet, so I can't wait to see what a mess it is. But, the PGC does usually keep this range pretty spiffy.
