scope suggestions???

so i just picked up a 700 sps tactical in .308 and dont know what i feel like doin for glass, figured id take opinions. itll be used for deer and steel/paper and im really thinking about lightin up some groundhogs with it when the warmth decides to get here. i would say max distance around 300 yds. suggestions?

You didn't mention a price range but I'd look at a Super Sniper 10X or a Falcon Menace 4-14X44 FFP for tactical type shooting. Those will both be less than 400 for the scopes. Both should fit what you are looking to accomplish. Get a good base from EGW and some good sturdy rings from Burris. All in all you should have 500 or less into that type of setup. Hope that helps get the ball rolling.
