ANOTHER ITEM ON THE LIST OF ITEMS THAT SHOULD BE BANNED!!!

Shoes. Assault shoes.

In recent history, more politicians have been attacked by subjects with shoes then with guns. Former President Bush and the Indian politician, both of whom had nasty assault shoes thrown at them, highlight the need to ban these offensive items.

Of course, we can't ban them outright. We'll start with (say it with me) reasonable restrictions. No heels over 5 inches. What kind of person has a heel over five inches except for hookers anyway? No black shoes. Black shoes and boots are scary looking, and might place children in fear. People have been referred to as "Jack-booted" to help others envision them as tyrants and worse. Obviously jack-boots will be illegal. Oh, and you can only buy one pair of shoes a month. I mean, it's not like you can wear more then one pair at a time.

What do you think? Can I get someone to start the online petition for me, since I am pretty computer illiterate?

Well that reduces me to a pair of worn out Nikes that I haven't worn since 1999. Will there be an exception for steel toed boots so long as I only wear them while mowing the lawn and get act shoe-35 certified for any job that requires me wear them?
We should probably ban ice cleats too. Rubber straps with metal spikes, are you crazy? I could whip someone's face off with those things! Snow shoes could also be used as bludgeoning weapons. I suggest a special permit for winter footwear.

I'm torn... I REALLY like those boots, but... You could do a lot of damage to a sub with them. So, they may have to be kinda like NFA weapons. A special permit, the fingerprints, a safe word...
