Wisconsin Open Carry On CNN - Sounds Familiar?
Seems we aren't the only state dealing with this issue and the problems it can involve:
http://www.wisn.com/cnn-news/19235901/detail.html
Some 'radical' quotes from police here too:
Police Response
Milwaukee's police chief said he'll go on telling his officers to take down anyone with a firearm despite Van Hollen's finding that people can carry guns openly if they do it peacefully.
Chief Ed Flynn said officers can't assume people are carrying guns legally in a city that has seen nearly 200 homicides in the past two years.
He said that means officers seeing anybody carrying a gun will put them on the ground, take the gun away and then decide if the person has a right to carry it.Last edited by dc dalton; April 22nd, 2009 at 12:42 PM.

Just like we can't assume people are legal to drive in this country when we have so many motor vehicle deaths each year?
I hope he likes opening himself and his department to lawsuits."If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom ... go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels nor arms. May your chains set lightly upon you and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." Samuel Adams

Guy should be fired. That statement is completely unprofessional and downright insulting to law abiding citizens.
Any mission, any conditions, any foe at any range.
Twice the mayhem, triple the force.
Ten times the action, total hardcore.

With how well they do their job I am surprised that they don't have 400 or more homicides in the past 2 years. It makes you wonder why they keep following those politics that do nothing more than hurt people.

Re: Wisconsin Open Carry On CNN - Sounds Familiar?
Does Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn think that Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen made his statement clarifying the legality of open carry on a whim? Civil rights violation law suits are pretty much what prompted the whole debacle in the first place. Good job with the cause-effect analysis Police Chief Ed “Dumbass” Flynn!

Cheif Dumbass needs to review Norfolk vs Dan Moore, and see that Norfolk vs Dan Moore is in part 2 now.
LOL only 200 murders in 2 years? Baltimore has close to 300 every year, and it's not law abiding OCing gun owners doing any of it. In fact the stats show that some 90% are people with criminal records killing other people with criminal records, over criminal enterprise disputes, such as drug dealing and gang conflicts. Of the rest, it comprises things such as domestic violence, street robbery murders, cab driver murders, etc.
Cheif Dumbass needs to ask all the detectives and undercovers how many sleazy types they have seen fully OCing with holsters. I bet the answer would be ZERO, but plenty of gun butt showing Mexican carries with no holster, and alot of arrests finding CCing on suspects.LOL, I am a woman...
