Bullseye Pistol - Not a 1911
Looking for a new Pistol to add to the herd. Was going to get another 1911 but would like to do a little research on maybe something different. Bullseye shooter and accuracy is key. Is there options out there with the accuracy of high quality 1911's for Bulleye Shooting.

Re: Bullseye Pistol - Not a 1911
So what's the plan? IIRC When you got the Les Baer you were talking about using it for Bullseye. So what Bullseye event do you want the gun for? There are 3 "divisions" .22Caliber (any .22 caliber pistol), Centerfire (Any Caliber .32 or larger pistol) and .45 Caliber (any .45 caliber pistol). Note, the term pistol includes revolvers.
You have lots of choices. .22 caliber is easy. High end, get a Hammerli SP-20 or low ball & make do with a Ruger Mk III, but there's plenty of great stuff in the mid-range like High Standard & Browning.
Centerfire - Search for a used S&W Model 52 or get a new Walther GSP in .32 S&W Long or consider Benelli M95 in .32 or Hammerli again (Drool, I'd love to have a Hammerli).
.45 If you want a challenge try using a 625! or maybe a .45 (Long) Colt Model 25. Or you could spend big bucks and get a Pardini GT-45 have a look here!

Caliber .45 and you don't want a 1911.
Try this!

How about A nice S&W model 25 in 45 acp.
I can shoot 1" groups at 50' with mine.
They use moon clips, I outshoot my 1911s with the S&W all the time.
But that is just me.
And you can feed it Anything.

CZ would be a contender, if you weren't set on .45 (or have really big hands that can handle the 97B), they make excellent guns accuracy-wise.
