Default Beretta 92 Inox with .22 conversion

I found this about 2 years ago, And FINALLY remembered to take it out shooting. The gun and .22 conversion were both unfired.
I ran a bunch of 9mm though it with no issues, and then swapped it out to .22 shooting. This gun is fun to shoot with .22, I just wish I had a few mags for it!
I was using bulk pack ammo with no issues, The .22 conversion is a Beretta one being made in Italy and the gun is US made,
2 years ago after I bought it I was in Cabelas and saw reloaded 9mm for $39.99 for 500 in a ammo can. I bought a few of them, While they are really smokey and have lead bullets, They ran like a clock thought the Beretta, I still have a bunch of the dirty 9mm, So I think the gun is a keeper!
Have you used any .22 conversions for the 92?
A friend of mine wants the same set up and I wonder if the other conversions are any good?????

I have 2 92FS's and both run flawlessly.

I have never used the .22 setup although I would like to own one. From what I understand, they aren't too common (although not impossible to find) and are expensive when you can find them (200$+).

A few notes about keeping your Beretta running clean. Examine the locking block after each use while cleaning. The tabs are apparently prone to breaking (although this is after like 60,000+ rounds in some cases but your mileage may vary depending on what you feed it). Also, remove the extractor from time to time and clean the sludge which will get in there.

Yea...I was doing a google search for beretta conversion kits for sale and it linked me right to the post. I had to log out and log back in again before I could see the whole thread. Sorry about that.

Although...if it ever is for sale, let me know!

    You mean like this?

Beretta came up with newer design locking block with radiused edge, but appearently, it still can brake is what I hear..

Exactly what I was talking about. And aren't they up to gen 3 now? I don't know for sure. And I do know for certain that neither of my Berettas has a gen 2 locking block and are both going strong.

Yep, they do have Gen 3.
I haven't heard of any brakage with them, but then they haven't been out that long either..

I guess technicaly, there is 4 different version of them.
From what I understand, Gen 2 have Gen2A, and Gen2B..
The slight change in the blocks from 2a to 2b was considered an inline change for Beretta, because it was fully compatible back and forth. The only major change is the size of the relief radii

Note the large radii relief cuts, most evident in the first pic (side profile).

Note the radii have been reduced in size.
