    Default depriming question

have a live primer seated in a case....up side down.
is it cool to deprime that case?
it's only metal, we can out think it....

It can be done, but be very careful when doing it (safety glasses). If possible, try to deprime it on a single stage press, and do it very slowly. Make sure there is no loose powder or live primers in the vicinity when you do it (do not want to ignite anything in case the primer goes off). Also, it wouldn't hurt to spray it with some WD-40 before you do this.

I have done this before, Just like the above post.. Slow and steady saves the day. Sometimes they get flipped in my lee auto primer. I just have to look how the primer is seated on the piston before I prime cases now.

It can be done with care. First make sure there is no other primers or powder in the area.

Wear personal protection - eyes and EARS. A primer going off is sufficient to give you tinnitus, if not deafness, for the rest of your life

    that's what it was.
i keep trying to like that thing, but it keeps giving me reasons not to.
have a bunch of brass, not messing with it.

Well maybe you gave it a bunch of reasons to not like you . I like it quite a bit. This is the only negative thing I have encountered with it. I'm sure this can happen with any prime system out there.
