    Default Help on a Colt Python price tag.

    Gun is 4 inch barrel, blued, original wood grips, original cardboard box (not in the best of shape) and year of manufacture is 1974. Gun looks and feels flawless. I went on gun broker but prices there are usually insane so I dont know whats realistic. What do you guys think is a realistic price? Thanks.

    Today...realistic = insane

    If you can sell it on gunbroker for XX dollars plus shipping... do it. If you want to move it quickly...price less than GB by X % and move it to a motivated buyer.

    If you are the buyer... srike a deal for less than GB...be happy woith a gun you want.

    If it really "looks and feels flawless," at least $1000-$1200.

    Oops... never mind. Revolvers are outdated, useless as anything other than ornaments. I regret to inform you that your Python, especially since it's out of production, is only worth about $100. However, I don't want you to feel cheated, so I'll offer you $150!!

    The 4" Blue Pythons bring a premium. The only ones more collectible are the 3" Combat Magnums.

    A 4" Blue in 98% condition with the original box will bring somewhere around $1200. - $1400. depending on how bad someone wants it.

    Are you buying or selling??

    I saw one @ Trout Run Sports today for $1,100. It was blued, it came with the box, and I believe it was the 6" model.
