    Default Birthday presents

I pickedup a couple accessories for the family today.

75rd drum really completes the RPK:

Collapsable stock for the Mossy 500

Also, I need to get some pics of my PSL but I wanted to post the results of sighting her in at 100yds.

Your RPK and Mossy's birthdays are on the same day?

Weeeeell, I have to admit I screwed up here. The first day I took it to the range, I loaded the mag with 10rds. I sighted it in with 5 rounds, then fired these two shots at 100yds, then let my son fire the last 3 rounds at metal plates. My friend then informed me that you are not supposed to shoot heavy ball ammo through PSLs.

This was the yello tip heavy ball stuff which will never see this gun again. I've sense purchased 3 crates of Czech light ball so I'll have to see what adjustments need to be made.

Of course, the forbidden fruit tastes the best...

I've been using Bulgarian light ball in mine, it has been pretty accurate. 2'' groups at 100 yards. Can't complain about that too much.

It will be very interesting to see if she does as well with the light ball. I wouldn't be upset with 2" groups at all.

Let me know how the Czech stuff goes. Russian has been less than satisfactory for me. The stuff I got seems to be out of spec, I am finding split cases occasionally. It's not just the PSL, it does it in all 5 of my 7.62x54r rifles.

The Bulgarian stuff is pretty clean for surplus. I am happy with it. I want to try Hungarian next, I've heard good things about it.

I shoot Bulgarian light ball out of mine and it's fantastic ammo. Accurate and trouble free.

I've shot Wolf Gold out of it too, for shits and giggles, more expensive with the same results.

Hmm, maybe I'll just stick with the Bulgarian stuff then. It's far cheaper than Hungarian, and I've already had success.
