Default GSG , adjusting the rear sight?

Hi Guys , Does anyone know if the rear sight on the GSG 5 can be adjusted for elevation ? The knob can be turned around but , nothing happens .

The Gun is shooting way too high , 6-8 inches even with a 6 o clock hold

    Thanks, nyman

My GSG-5 came with a selection of front sight post with various lengths. You may have to change out your post to get it zero'd. BTW, mine fired accurately out of the box. My one word of advice is to tighten all the screws. I didn't and after firing 500 rounds over two days, I heard a rattle in my butt stock and it turned out that the bolt stop screw came loose.

Thanks for the advice John, Mine shot accurately too , right out of the box , it made a nice little group , only it was 6-8 inches above poa, i looke at the front sights that came with the gun but they all seem to be the same height, in anycase i will try one to see if it made a difference, the only alternative is to drill a peephole sight in the existing rear drum sight.

    Nyman

ps mine too came from the factory with all the screws a bit loose, i had to tighten up them all.

try here - if they are the same as an H&K - piece of cake, otherwise the post is pointless

Just an update Guys, I gave up on the irons, i put an accupoint red dot on the rifle and now the rifle will shoot hole in hole at 50 yds.

i sighted in for the CCI minimag solid points , so i know i will have to sight in again if i change ammo, but for now its razor sharp at 50 yds.
