The beaver county times has to go !!!

They also publish the allegheny times and ellwood city ledger. They are the only newspaper in the county, but I can't take any more. For years, I've endured editorial after editorial supporting this tax or that one -- they never met a tax they didn't like.

But last weeks editorial calling conservative talk radio terrorism:

My subscription has to go -- and I don't even listen to talk radio!!! I'm not paying for this garbage.

I'll be proposing a boycott to my sportsmans club, who hopefully will carry it to the county league.

That's why i don't read newspapers, on a side note did u see how desperate the PG lawyers were trying to not let the gag order in the poplawski case go into effect? They are really desperate to sell papers.

In an article today for a tragic accident (4 dead 22-24yr olds) they went overboard by describing one of the mothers reaction at the scene.
It was uncalled for.

well, you're right there. Seeing as they are the county's only paper, we don't realize the comics are a day behind everyone else.

The accident referred to in a prior post happened at 11:30 Saturday night. Why is it only news in beaver on Monday morning. It was all over the TV news Sunday morning.

What type do they cut off, noon? But, if it were the steelers playing an 8:00 game, you bet we'd be all covered

If I'm reading you right, you're saying that the accident wasn't reported on sunday (the next day) right?

If it happened that late at night, then yes the papers were already put to bed and running by that time, sunday papers come in two sections as it is, and it's a huge headache to coordinate printings

also, now that the times outsourced their papers to some other company out of the county, they have to be put to bed even earlier to allow for shipping back to Beaver to then be distributed


And I'm not sure what you mean by the comics are a day behind...they all seem the same to me...
