    Default RE-FINISHED RAPTOR GRIPS

I loved the factory grip's but IMO considered them too dark & a flat finish. So I took 1000 grit sand paper and sanded to get the lighter color I prefered and & put multiable coat's of MINWAX Polyurethane till I got the desired gloss I wanted. It being stainless I don't intend to use it for a CC combat carrying pistol. This was simply my attempt to make the grip's a more desireable match to the stainless.

Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.

No I promise you it's my daily carry for CC. I don't have any Safe Queen's. The cost or Beautifulness does not stop me from using it as CC weapon. Remember a month or so back I polished the slide on my Kinber SIS because of the abuse I inflicted upon it as a CC weapon. I had planned on a NEW refinish coating for the SIS but when I had the cash I opted to purchase the Raptor. The SIS will just have to wait If I see another 1911 I want ( and i will )the SIS will be second seat again to a New 1911...IT'S A DISEASE & I"VE GOT IT!!!....BAD...LOL
