That training was more graphic than a lot of the crap movies they put out from Hollywood today.

Re: THE SCARIEST WORKPLACE TRAINING VIDEO EVER
If I was the owner of the company and I asked someone to make me a training video and that's what they brought me back I'd give them a raise and buy them a lapdance at a club of their choice.
COMIC GOLD right there.
But at the same time IT WORKS because how could you forget that?

I'm a retired safety engineer and I can tell you that each one of those are happening every day somewhere in this country. Usually caused by a lapse in concentration or production shortcuts pushed by management or production bonuses. I had a college professor whose favorite quote was, "Every safety regulation is written in blood - except one. The 1974 55 mph national speed limit. That was an energy saving measure."

Re: THE SCARIEST WORKPLACE TRAINING VIDEO EVER
Absolutely true. I've worked what is commonly known as "heavy and highway" construction most of my working life, usually in large industrial complexes such as nukes, powerhouses, and such. These things happen with regularity and always because someone failed to adhere to rules and/or common sense. I knew a fair amount of fellows missing parts of fingers, the price of complacency. I've been on jobs where people were killed, saw a few carted away to the hospital. The work is dangerous all by itself, taking shortcuts compounds the danger. I've been stitched up a few times, and that was without being stupid....the work is dangerous. Nothing can stop some events, ya just can't tell when a failure will occur. But ignoring the safety guides is a sure bet to disaster. I've seen most if not all of the scenes in the video in real life. Having been union trained and protected we had less incidents than the average but I saw damn near everyday unsafe practices within the non-union contractors. (Please don't take this as pro or con union....just what I saw) BTW, this video was fairly tame, the ones with real life footage and aftermath are much more graphic. And stepping over the bloodstains on the worksite will definately drive the message home.
Workng on barges and tugboats as a teen in Philly we did some really stupid and dangerous stunts disguised as work. I entered a union apprenticeship and found out just how illegal and dangerous our methods had been. Now no one can demand I do a particular task in an unsafe manner. F.U., fire me if you have the guts but I ain't doin' that.
