What's a good pistol cleaning kit?
Cheaperthandirt.com has a few, which is the best for the money? I need something to clean various calibers. (.32 to .45)

Re: What's a good pistol cleaning kit?
I bought a cheap one at wally world, it cost around 13 bucks. It cleans all guns from shotguns to 9mm's to .45's. It comes in a wood case, Not top quality. I bought some gun oil, some Solvent and a cheap toothbrush. Overall it was about 20 bucks, an served me well for months now.
I would like a more compact kit, that would all fit in a tiny circle tube.

I grabbed on that fits all the components in to a handle...open the back and the rods / brushes come out.
Great for keeping in the range bag.
I keep some FP 10 in the bag.
A bottle Of Hoppes a good nylon brush and some patches (hell...tooth brush and paper towels in a pinch!) and you are good to go.

Like the others it's a matter of personal preference and how much you want to spend. One thing I am particular about is cleaning rods. You will pay a little more for a Dewey or Tipton but they both are well constucted and coated. Also I discovered the Bore Snake a couple of years back and they make the chore of cleaning much easier.

Go get a plastic fishing tackle box with all the compartments and fill it with just the stuff you want. All of your stuff will stay organized, clean, and you can arrange it with what's best for you. It slips right into a range bag too. That's what I do. They're a few bucks at any sports shop.

Hoppes, Kroil and a bore snake is all you should need for any hand gun.
