    Default Army Pistol Training FM...

Found a site with some FM training manuals.

The one on pistols is quite interesting and even shows some resettable targets to build.

Thought some might like exploring it or other available FMs.

ETA = Jimminy Crickets, forgot the URL...

    An FM for pistols

So why are you keeping it a secret? Where's the URL?

any decent army/navy store will have the paper versions.
the above mentioned manual is fm23-35.
i have the 1988 version and it contains information on both pistols and revolvers.
good info on stances and breathing techniques.
it's only metal, we can out think it....

Hey not bad, that's the current manual.

I have FM 23-35 Pistol & Revolvers dated September 1971.
As an experiment I scanned the illustrations for detail DISASSEMBLY of the M1911 series pistol, into jpg photos.

If you're a 1911 shooter, and you would like a set (6 photos 81/2"X11" about 3Mb each) send me a PM, and include your regular e-mail address. If you're not a high-speed internet user or if there are restrictions on your mailbox let me know and I will split the transmission. I also expect you will let me know how "usable" the scans are. If this is worthwhile I'll scan and distribute the illustrations for reassembly and safety checks.
