    Default Looking for hunting land....

    in or around Berks County.

Looking for some farms or wooded land to archery hunt this Fall and/or longer.

Archery safety zone is 50 yards from an occupied building, so some suburban land may work also.

I am a cautious, experienced hunter, having archery hunted for over 20 years. Land where I have previously hunted is now a 112 unit housing development.

If anyone has land, or knows of anyplace that would allow me to archery hunt, let me know.

    Thanks!

    Steve

State game lands for Berks? That county looks kinda infested with humans in my opinion to have good farmlands to hunt on.

Yeah, I do hunt some of the State Game Lands, but so do the 5,000 other Berks archers.

The deer all seem to be on the farms or residential areas that don't get hunted. That's why archery is nice here, 50 yard safety zone opposed to the 150 yards with a firearm.

Just start knocking on some doors to ask for permission.. The worst thing they can do is turn you down. Just be courteous, smile and thank them for their time even if they say no.
