i want Diane Sawyer to eat RAMEN NOODLES
let's go after the MONEY
here are the sponsors for this little pos episode, with the blessing of the site administrators, I'd like to post the LINKS:
AT&T
Kohls
Proctor and Gamble
DSW Shoes
Transitions Lenses
Travelers Insurance
Range Rover
Home Goods
Dunkin Donuts (sniff...sniff)
H&R Block
Reclast
Sprint
Hanes
Remax
New Line Cinema (Warner Brothers)
Verizon
Universal Studios
Cialis/Lilly Pharmaceuticals
Fidelity Investments
Giant Foods
Geico
Here's the letter I penned for them:
I am aware that your company recently sponsored ABC’s 20/20 episode “If I Only Had a Gun”.
This program did not fairly or accurately represent responsible gun ownership, portray any responsible gun owners, or provide balanced reporting concerning the legal use of a firearm to protect myself or my family, should the unfortunate need arise.
As a result of your support of this program, I will make every effort to avoid the use of the products and services your company offers.
(A little something extra, for our friends at Universal Studios and Warner Brothers):
As your company is an entertainment provider, I find particular irony that your company profits from entertainment that portrays gratuitous violence, while at the same time you do not recognize responsible gun use or ownership.
Sincerely,
Your Former Customer.

Re: i want Diane Sawyer to eat RAMEN NOODLES
Not a bad letter , but I also would have included that 85 million plus law abiding gun owners would now be much more likely to NOT spend their hard earned money with companies that support such a blatant Anti American Agenda
Already listed here
http://forum.pafoa.org/general-114/5...0-20-guns.html
and your list seems short by more then a few , by my count I came up with 30 plus advertisers
So , without further ado , here's the list of the Thirty Three Companies that are perfectly ok with supporting blatant yellow journalism , if it means making a buck .
1) Dannon / DanActive Yougurt
2) Fidelity Investments
3) Cialis
4) The Soloist - Movie
5) Verizon Wireless X Two

Oh the irony, the ad for "Castle" OMG had "gun violence" in it! To add insult to injury, I beleive I saw some gun action in the ad for "The Unusuals" as well.
How can this be? So it is OK to portray and glorify guns via Hollywood, but simply evil and awful and "OMG the children" for real life guns to exist?LOL, I am a woman...

Re: i want Diane Sawyer to eat RAMEN NOODLES
A fast response from Kohl's
Dear Ms. Weaver:
Thank you for taking the time to e-mail us your concerns about our advertising schedule. As it is our intent to provide our customers with quality service, we appreciate the opportunity to review your concerns.
We regret that our advertising has disappointed you. Network advertising packages are purchased months in advance by time slot. In many cases, except for major events such as the Super Bowl, we do not know which specific programming will be aired when our ads run, just that we are buying a prime time advertising slot. Your concerns that our ad ran during the 20/20 show will be shared with our Marketing Department for their future consideration. It was not our intention to offend you or your family. At Kohl's we strive to maintain a business that is family-focused and friendly, and we want our customers to "Expect Great Things." Your feedback is much appreciated and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
We appreciate the time you took to contact us and we hope that you will allow us the chance to serve you again in the future.
Sincerely,
Meghan B.

Re: i want Diane Sawyer to eat RAMEN NOODLES
UPDATED E-MAIL ADDRESS TO COMPLAIN TO 'THE RIGHT PEOPLE' AT AT&T:
RM-CERC1@ems.att.com
Kohl's and Transitions wrote back. the Transitions e-mail seemed to be individually written. I got the same crap answer from KOHL's.
let's all hit this hard. I'd like to see some Jr. Advertising Exec's have a REALLY BAD MONDAY explaining a bunch of negative e-mails from customers, at the bottom of a recession.
