Upcoming 20/20 on guns?
I am told that the upcoming episode of 20/20 is going to be on "if having a gun can really protect you and how/stuff about guns," not sure if this is going to be good or bad. They seem to be pretty fair, but its not Fox, so I'm worried. Has anyone else heard anything?

If it's done by John Stossel it's more apt to be pro gun.

Re: Upcoming 20/20 on guns?
Well I was wrong ................
"If I only had a gun".
Diane Sawyer will be hosting the show. Here is the script the best I could catch it from the preview:
"It's happened again, another deadly shooting spree. With so many like them, you may think 'if I only had a gun'. And next Friday, if you had a gun, would you be able to defend yourself? What about the toxic attraction to guns, and how easy can you get them? A Diane Sawyer special at 10/9c next Friday, only on ABC. If I only had a gun".
Well, it is an interesting concept for a show, but I'm afraid it is going to be very anti-gun in its portrayal. The fact Diane Sawyer is going to host it, and that the preview says, "What about the toxic attraction to guns?" leads me to believe this will not be a fair story.
But if you think about it, what if just 1 person in that building in New York had a gun? What if New York city allowed honest civilian carry of guns like so many other areas of this nation, how many fewer people would have died or been injured?
It will be interesting to watch the slant that 20/20 puts on the episode. The title is certainly provocative. Something tells me we are in for a lot of anti-gun rhetoric and a huge dose of nonsensical drama. But time will tell. The original point and click interface was a Colt Peacemaker!

This came from an ABC news article on the Binghamton shooting.
"Watch a special edition of "20/20" on guns in America anchored by Diane Sawyer Friday, April 10, at 10 p.m. ET"
Don't expect anything remotely resembling fair treatment.
"Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities".

Great...an hour of the most beer-bellied, redneck, bible-beating beer-swilling losers that they can find, backed up by crying cave dwellers asking 'whut about the chilluns?"
An hour of 'evil guns'...jumping into peoples hands and taking out peaceful neighborhoods...
No offense meant to any beer-bellied, redneck, bible-beating beer-swilling losers that may be here...."...a REPUBLIC, if you can keep it."
