I picked up a box of the Federal. I've heard mixed reviews on RWB in 22. Never had an issue on other calibers myself though.

Saw a Savage 22, youth-sized for $147. Very tempting for my son, it's the same rifle they used at Boy Scout camp except this one has a magazine instead of loading a single shot at a time.

Would make a good birthday or Christmas gift.
That's been the price for the Federal for a couple of years now. Remington 22lr is all crap. I'll never buy any ever again, especially after the way they jacked up their prices to ridiculous levels, even after the shortages were over. Most Walmarts have good prices on the CCI 22lr now too.

You know what, I meant Winchester wtite box, not Remington.

Remington cost more. I have a box someone gave me, no issues with it.

Regardless, I knew Federal was the best of the three.

Yeh, Winchester is the worst of the three. I gave away a couple of bricks of Winchester, with warnings, about how bad they were.

Walmart to stop Alaska handgun sales, end sales of short-barrel rifle and handgun ammo nationwide
    By Stephen Sorace

    Published September 03, 2019

    Fox News
Walmart is set to end sales of handguns in Alaska and will discontinue the sale of short-barrel rifle and handgun ammunition in stores nationwide, the super chain's president and CEO announced Tuesday afternoon.

The store said it will gear its focus toward long barrel deer rifles and shotguns, supply much of the ammunition they require and provide hunting and sporting accessories and apparel, Doug McMillon wrote in a memo.

"We have a long heritage as a company of serving responsible hunters and sportsmen and women, and we're going to continue doing so," McMillon said.

Walmart also asked that customers no longer openly carry firearms into their stores or Sam’s Clubs in states where open carry is permitted unless authorized by law enforcement. The chain also called for enhanced background checks.

“We encourage our nation’s leaders to move forward and strengthen background checks and to remove weapons from those who have been determined to pose an imminent danger,” the statement said.

The announcement comes just days after a mass shooting claimed seven lives in Odessa, Texas and follows two other back-to-back shootings last month, one of them at a Walmart store.

I wonder who came up with that "short barrel rifle" horseshit?

They couldn't come up with a better way of saying they don't want to sell "mass murdering ammo", I guess.

I was taking it as pistol ammunition and possibly NATO marked ammunition. Plenty of bolt guns shooting .223 and x39 at this point. I would like to see more clarification on that myself.

I guess it’s just another Fudd zone.

They MEAN "assault rifle" ammo - they just tried not to SAY it.

They freely admit that some hunting is done with 5.56/223, but they are "staying true" to "hunting".

    Cum-sucking, two-faced, back-stabbing, condescending pieces of shit.
