Walmart Ammo Thread

For me it has always been an act of congress to buy ammo at walmart. It seems I never can find anyone in the sporting good department that has keys to the ammo case.

Yeah, and it bothers me a lot.
I don't think it's a fair comparison though because Dick's is a sporting goods store - nothing more. I can go to other sporting goods stores.

Walmart is a Department store. Where else can I turn to shop? The great supporter of 2A rights, and firm opposers of men wearing skirts using women's restrooms - Target?

Sears? Gone
Kmart? Gone

What's left?

Oh yeah - Amazon - now THERE'S a proud supporter of the 2A!

I don't have the luxury of shopping wherever I want based on principal - I need to shop where it costs me the least.
I shopped around for a dehumidifier and found that all places, including Amazon, were priced at about $250. Walmart's equivalent was $139 (Rollback) - that's significant.

I have a job there. It's not a great job, but it keeps the lights from being turned off over the off season when I can't mow lawns.
They have some asinine management methods like any other business, but they allow me and any other employee to work EXACTLY the hours WE want to work - any other place would tell me to hit the bricks if I told them I could only work certain hours on certain days - they make my regular schedule one that works for ME - not for them.

If I can find another employer that gives me the flexibility to work when I can work/want to work, I wouldn't have an issue walking right out the door.

It all puts me in a tough spot - I need the work and I need to shop.
It sucks.

It isn't just PAFOA though. From the general consensus I'm getting on social media, gun owners are pissed. I don't think it's going to be the thing that tanks Walmart, but it might effect their bottom line some.

The thing that pisses me off the most is essentially being lumped in with psycho-murdering scum just because I own a rifle that's similar to one a criminal used to kill someone.
That and the fact that he's cheerleading for further restrictions from Washington.

Don't want to sell ammo? Do away with it.
Don't create some absurd connection between millions of honest owners of AR15s and some killer by ending sales of a specific type of ammo.
