Re: Walmart Ammo Thread
Back from Walmart(s).
Both East and West York stores are very nicely stocked up, especially East York. The cabinet was as full as it could get.
Even saw .380 for the first time ever in a Walmart, the West York store and they had multiple brands.
Plenty of 9, 40, 45, 38 spec.
NO .22LR IN EITHER STORE! The shelves started at .223, no .22LR. I wanted to get my dad some to replace what he used when we shot last weekend.

Re: Walmart Ammo Thread
My apologies if this has already been noted, but I FINALLY saw 9mm Federal Red Box in stock . . . in New Jersey of all places. I was ready to load my basket until I noticed that the price had been raised from $10/50rds the last time I saw it in stock (2 years ago) to a whopping $15/50rds. BUT, they were also offering aluminum cased Federal Red Box for the previous $10/50rds. Has anyone ever tried the aluminum Red Box?

St Clair had Remington 22lr target. It was $3.97 per 50.

Re: Walmart Ammo Thread
I was pretty shocked. I bought one box just to try and because I was exicted to see some 22 in a Walmart. I was buying my other stuff and was telling my wife that .08 a round is the most I ever paid for .22lr. I then thought that .08 a round is cheaper than anything else I have to shoot so I went back for 2 more. Plus I already knew my next stop was to pick up a Marlin 795.

Re: Walmart Ammo Thread
I've shot 100 rounds of the aluminum, no problems.
The ZQI NATO-spec 123gr. 9mm for $13 a box seems like a pretty good value, it's cheaper per round than the Winchester White Box value packs now (as someone noted above).
But I'm currently shooting through 500 rounds of Freedom Munitions new brass-cased 9mm I got for about $10/box with free shipping. Can't beat that with a stick.

Re: Walmart Ammo Thread
Too funny, that's EXACTLY what I switched to as my regular plinking ammo. They happened to be running a special on new brass-cased 9mm with $5 shipping a while back and it average just a shade over $10/50rds shipped. I sucked up 1,500rds then, so I outta be good for a little while.
As far as Walmart, I stopped into the store in York, PA this past weekend and the 9mm selection was prolific. Simply huge amounts of stock for multiple brands.
