Re: Walmart Ammo Thread
I was in the Norristown Walmart on Trooper Road last night. They had a half dozen boxes of Remington 22 Short for $4.47 each.

Lebanon PA, a ton of WWB 9mm 100s and 50s. Some Federal 380. Typical Turkish stuff. Bunch of Wolf 223 or 556, not sure.

Re: Walmart Ammo Thread
I was at the Allentown store this morning before visiting a client in the area. I saw 100 ct boxes of Federal 9mm for the first time ever. They had 2 and I bought them. They had a bunch of winchester 40,45 and 9 50 rd boxes.

Re: Walmart Ammo Thread
Can we stop this thread so we can stop the hoarding.
You aren't technically helping anyone by posting what you found; you're just feeding the frenzy.
Next time you see a box of ammo. you WANT, fight the urge and pass it by, (unless you truly NEED it), then you will see everything start to come back inline.
We are still our worst enemyPeace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Re: Walmart Ammo Thread
This thread has nothing to do with current problems. You have been around since 2009. And this thread is months older. You can actually chart the prices going back to 2009. Last year panic buying was lead by the possible bans after Sandy Hook. That is mostly over. The .22lr shortage now is IMHO different for a few reasons.
A. Millions of new .22lr shooters. Look at the new rifles being sold majority is .22lr.
B. 2013 Panic Buying left the shelves empty, and unable to handle the new shooters.
C. The Gov't - Nah, but many people believe this is true. To those people a tip. If you sandwich wax paper in between the layers of aluminum foil, it increases the jamming power of your hat.
D. Hoarders - Just your basic speculator. But it happens everywhere. Oil or Land or Frozen Concentrated Orange Juice or even White Water. In the end all they do is increase prices.
E. Ourselves, yes if we stop for a little while stocks will be replenished. ( Just like in Commercial fishing )
