Walmart Ammo Thread

I have a question for you, I was in a Walmart last weekend & the sales clerk said they had a truck come in & if she gets a chance to check for ammo before 10 PM she'll bring it our for sale but it has to be before 10 because it's now against the law to sell ammo after 10 PM. I mention I've never heard of that law & is she sure that's not just store policy when a customer speaks up & said it is a new law because of what happened in Newtown, Ct.
Anyone hear this before ? Is that really true ?

Wally World employees quoting law is kinda like my cat telling me how to ride my motorcycle. Both are equally clueless.

Just last week I had one tell me that it was "Federal Law" that they could only sell a certain amount of ammo per day. Not per person, per transaction, but overall amount per day.

You just gotta wonder where they find them....

That's what I figured, but it was when the customer chimed in & agreed with her that made me wonder, especially since all my previous ammo purchases have been during the day

Yeah, I thought as much, just wanted to be sure, besides, what would selling ammo after 10 PM have to do with anything ? Oh wait, since when do any recent gun laws make any sense anyway ?

i think that is one that is in the law books that only crooked cops and know it all gun "advocates" (who dont care as long as they can keep their turkey gun) get to read. add walmart employees to the list i guess

It is not against the law but at some Walmart stores it used to be the policy. I have ran into this this in the past they told me it is done because more people are likely to be drinking alcohol at this time.

Or is she too lazy to go in the back and get it and use the no sales after 10:00pm excuse ,so then the morning crew have to get it out ?? What one was it ? Levittown or Neshaminy or Bristol ?

I bought ammo at like 12:30 a.m. A few weeks ago at the kop walmart so she's definately confused.
