Romanian 8mm berdan primed ammo?
I have just started with 8mm (actually 7.92) mauser shooting. I got about 100 rounds of Romanian 8mm on stripper clips that looks similar to Wolf ammo. Has anybody had experience with this stuff?

Re: Romanian 8mm berdan primed ammo?
I have shot 1000s of rounds of the romy 1970's ammo. I never had a bad round, just make sure you clean the chamber well, as like wolf, you can get build-up due to the coating on the cases.
I think it is a little lighter load than the 1950 yugo. Just remember that all surplus 8mm is corrosive. I think aimsurplus has romy 8mm in-stock for a decent price.

Re: Romanian 8mm berdan primed ammo?
Thanks. Actually, I had gotten a Turkish so-so K98 and only fired a few shots before the bolt froze. Was trying to decide - ammo, rifle, both? Will have to bang out the bolt. Had great fun trying to get out the rest of the live rounds in the magazine.
