Re: Game Officer harassment
Ok , so it sounds like WCO 's are virtually omnipotent LEO's with free reign anywhere in the State ??? I'd love to be around and see the confrontation between a PSP and a WCO ! That could get real interesting .
I cant for the life of me figure out under the " scope of their jobs " how they would think they have LEO powers regarding ANYTHING other then possible crimes having to do with State Game Lands or related activities .
That would be like saying a WCO could pull a motorist over on the Blue Route for simple speeding or changing lanes without signaling . Unless the driving was observed or occured in relation to State Game Lands , I cant see how that traffic stop could possibly pass muster .
Even if they do have State Wide LEO power , I still dont believe the " Officer " involved had ANY RAS to start the encounter with Michelle , and certainly not with the shitty attitude .
The way this encounter was described sounds more like a sexist prick who thinks women belong only in the kitchen , bare foot and pregnant , and was looking for an easy target to bully . To bad for him he picked the wrong one !Si vis pacem, para bellum

ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!
Lets sum it up.
I was on private property where he overstepped his bounds! He had absolutely no authority on private property in this instance because he wasn't called in.
Should have I responded with "thank you" had he said "hey, nice tits" just because he has a badge?
I don't give a flying ficus what he's got pinned to his chest. And what he's got pinned to his chest doesn't give him the authority to confront citizens in a PRIVATE establishment!

Re: Game Officer harassment
Wow ... this thread expolded. Anyway, all good points brought up in regards to my question on page 7. I only asked because I didn't know ... nothing more, nothing less. Sorry if some got the wrong impression.

Good for you! Pat yourself on the back
Serioualy though, I too prefer to be polite. However, I also take my rights seriously and typically will not waive them. It's not disrespect. Michelle's reply may have been disrespectful to you, or to me, or whoever, it changes not that it did not change the situation. The WCO did not have authority to demand her LTCF.
Even is he WAS authorized to enforce title 18 at the BK
In the end, it wasn't his business and she told him as much. Handle it how you see fit, she will do likewise whether we agree with it or not.Last edited by Pa. Patriot; March 28th, 2009 at 09:50 PM.

From the above:
(2) For the purposes of enforcement of the authority granted by section 901(a)(17) of the act, ‘‘when acting within the scope of their employment’’ means that period of time that a wildlife conservation officer is currently engaged in any activity the officer is employed to perform at the time and places the officer is authorized to perform the activity._________________________________________
