New Paint job
Some of my friends have been after me to "put an extra layer of protection" on my Remi 700.... I finally did it and I think it looks good. I will be hand painting the adjustment knobs this weekend...

Re: New Paint job
The colors are foliage green and desert tan/brown with the flat black as a base....
I really had a hard time taking $8.00 worth of Krylon to a $1200.00 weapon system... but I did it and I am happy with it..Last edited by ReconLdr; March 27th, 2009 at 09:26 PM. Reason: ETA: The large brown spot on the back of the scope will have some FG or FB Crossed Sabers

Re: New Paint job
My friends were laughing at me as I had it masked up for almost an hour before the first drop of paint hit the rifle. I kept backing away from it... My buddy told me to think of it as an extra layer of rust protection... Once the first drop of paint hits the rifle it will go easy from there.
Good luck with the 17hmr. That's a great shooting gun... Be sure to post a few pics when you get it done. When you are called a racist, it just means you won an argument with an Obama supporter.

Re: New Paint job
Very nice job.
I'd always wondered if there was a difference in how the paint sticks to the synthetic parts vs. the metal. I've thought of doing my .223 700 SPS like you did this.
