    Default noob question

I am a MA resident with an LTC but I will be spending some time in PA in the near future. I am applying for a non-resident LTC but have a quick question. Can I purchase a gun here in PA either from a dealer or private sale after I get this license?

An LTCF has nothing to do with purchasing here in Pa.

Per Fed and Pa. law you can purchase long guns (providing they are legal in your home state and that state allows such purchase).
Handguns can be purchased but MUST be transferred through a FFL in your home state prior to possession.

    HTH and welcome to PAFOA!

Just remember that if the gun isn't on the 'approved' list, you won't be able to bring it back to MA!

thanks for the update. I'm used to MA law where you need a LTC to purchase handguns and most rifles.

    .
IIRC, if you need a license to purchase in MA you will also need it in Pa., as all state laws of both states need to be followed.
