Re: M3 disorderly conduct/can i own a Firearm
I have heard from other sources that i may not be able to,,,Prior to that M3 i had legally owned and had an LTCF...But that was a few yrs back and i let it lapse due to that charge..So my question is will that charge hold me up for a new LTCF and purchasing of firearms? As i said i dont see anything but looking to confirm..

i am not a lawyer...
but, i don't see how an M3 punishable by, at most, 1 year in prison would disqualify you from owning guns. it does not appear to me that this charge fulfills any of the "prohibited persons" qualifications in the UFA.
a sheriff may use it conjunction with the "character and reputation" clause to deny you an LTCF, though.F*S=k

I'm not a lawyer either. But, a "charge" or an arrest are not the same as a conviction. The disposition of your case is more important. If you were tried and convicted or pled guilty to a crime (misdemeanor) that carried a sentence of 1 year or more you might be barred gun ownership under Federal law.
I suggest your best bet would be to consult a real lawyer, lay out everything to him and get a really valid answer. It might cost you for his time and research, but in the long run it is the only way you'll be sure.

My conviction was for a 5503 which i have not found on the prohibiting part at all, And from i have found since this posting it should not affect me getting a LTCF or a firearm according to the county sheriff..Yeah took him a few days to respond back but i got the info and thanks for all your help..

Re: M3 disorderly conduct/can i own a Firearm
M3 Misdemeanors are in fact disqualifiers for certain firearms related PICS checks. It depends on exactly what it was, some M3's are passable and many are not. The fact that the officer deemed your transgression so offensive as to label it a M3 and not a Summary Offense is a flagger.
