Re: Savage .17HMR
sweet rifle there.
the savages are super accurate...
in fact, accurate to the point where its almost boring since you keep making hit after hit!My feedback (formerly bigjlen): http://forum.pafoa.org/feedback-109/76092-bigjlen.html

Re: Savage .17HMR
I have one of those with the thumbhold stock. Assuming perfect conditions, you will be double punching holes at 100yards. I look at that as pretty good for that small of a caliber.

Re: Savage .17HMR
The second time I ever shot a rifle in my lifetime I was getting field mouse size groups with 30 - 50 shots using my savage arms .17 hmr.
The only problem I ever had with it was with the claw thing not grabbing the spent shells so I would either have to keep cycling the action or use a cleaning rod to pop the shell out of the chamber.

Re: Savage .17HMR
Perfect first rifle! I own a few guns, but my Savage 17 HMR is by far my favorite rifle. It's so fun, accurate and easy to shoot. Get a bore snake, opticsplanet usually has free shipping and great prices. The only thing with 17 is it can be a dirty round.
Great choice!! Keep shooting
