Addict in training...
Just wanted to say thanks to Lycanthrope for getting my son hooked. He seems to love it, and Mom approves. So now I just need to sell a kidney, and he'll have all the gear he wants / needs. LOL
Here are a few PICS from the USPSA New Shooter Course

Re: Addict in training...
Looks like a really good time. I really need to get a new job 12 hour shifts ever weekend is not the ideal work schedule for competitions or training.

Re: Addict in training...
I know I met you and your son at the shoot today.
(I was the guy with the rifles right next to yours)
how old is he?
usually my son attends the shoots with me, he is 11 now and has been shooting since he was 9.
Once we get the new shoot house built your son will looooove it, I know mine does.
Its great to have something you both enjoy and can share and spend time together.

He'll be 14 next month, he's been shooting since he was 8.
From what I hear I think he'll love the house too. Cant wait to see it up again.Last edited by Jake Mc.; April 13th, 2009 at 01:34 AM.

Re: Addict in training...
Thanks!
Unfortunately right now he's stuck using my Taurus 111 Milenium Pro in 9mm for now. I plan on getting him a 40 (recommended by Lycan). Probably the Taurus 24/7 OSS. But haven't decided for sure yet. I'm kinda partial to Taurus, but I'm keeping an eye on the used guns at the local shop.

Re: Addict in training...
Well, I am not a big fan or Taurus neither. They seem to make decient guns though, at nice prices. Not always the best looking, but hey they work. An they have the warrenty .
Goodluck on the search. If he keeps it up, he will be the next guy I see shooting on TV by the time he is 23
