Re: Geithner stays
You couldn't pay me enough to step into Geithner's shoes.
The guy is basically single handily responsible for the treasury... there are somewhere around 16 - 20 OPEN positions that Obama won't fill for some reason. Geithner would need MORE people to be hired to be operating on a skeleton staff
That being said he has already been prove to be willing to perjure himself when the SHTF, I don't find him trustworthy and I don't believe he should stay in his current role. The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

Re: Geithner stays
Obama is sinking his own ship there. The American people want him gone members of congress want him gone and he's standing their saying he's staying. There isn't a person alive other than him who would do the job. Actually there isn't a person out there who would be able to support the president and do the job. There are plenty of people who would do the job but Obama would fire them within the first few days.

Re: Geithner stays
I sometimes wonder if President Obama isn't letting him sink while giving him all the help he needs. I do truly feel for Mr. Geithner. I wouldn't want to be in his shoes. No Way. Makes me wonder why does he stay.

Re: Geithner stays
It's not that he is not filling them, it's that the people that are chosen take a serious look at how screwed up the economy is and aren't going to ruin their credentials being tagged as the ones being blamed for it's death.
The last two nominees have bailed and you are correct. Geithner is in so far over his head that he'll never pull this out. Remember, he was the ONLY person that could possibly resolve this problem. If this guy last till summer, I'll be amazed....

Re: Geithner stays
Geithner and O have no desire to fix the economy, Their only desire is to implement their agenda. There was a report today that the WH says they will implement their global warming and Health Care plans, NO MATTER WHAT !!!. The CBO says that will Destroy the economy.
Remember those words"NO MATTER WHAT"!!!
