Thumbs up Pete's Gun Room (Skippack)

Actually two thumbs up for Pete.

Last week I went in with my son to purchase my first handgun and he spent about an hour and a half showing \ educating me about the different models of guns he had.

He is a small shop so call ahead. He is actually in Skippack Village so you need to be looking for the shop to find it. He normally has a sign out on the street when he is open.

Mind you it's a small shop, but those are sometimes the best ones to go to.

He is a great guy and knows his stuff. He has a nice collection of pistols and some rifles.
He is a little pricey so if that's all you care about then he's not the guy for you. But he found me the gun I wanted and had it there the next day. I only paid about $10-15 more than I would have had paid elsewhere on a $300 gun. He was able to order me the exact model I wanted though and get it quickly. He also has good priced ammo, but saves what he has for if you buy a gun in that caliber.

Overall I will go buy from him again.

2 years later I find that I have bought several guns from Pete.
He is a great guy who really knows his guns. He is very nice and is doesn't mind spending an hour talking about guns and teaching you stuff. I've learned a lot from him over the years.

He'll try to get you the best price and has some pretty good deals.

Great guy and I really recommend him!

    His hours are Wednesday-Saturday 11-6:30.

Thumbs up Re: Pete's Gun Room (Skippack)

This guy is the best. I bought a Beretta 92fs about 8 months ago because the times are such that the 2nd Amend. is going bye bye. Never intend to use it. My son found out and now we are at the range about twice a week. then lunch or dinner.

Enough about that. My son found pete's. the store (it is a big room) is more than a little ways from my home.

I went there on a lark. I was not really intending to buy a gun or may be a plinker. Pete asked me what my goal was before long I bought a Kimber Raptor and conversion kit. Ultimately, Pete spent about 2 hours going over gun safety and cleaning. He had me field strip, clean and reassemble the gun before he would let me out of the store.

I told him was was in kinda in rush i had a busy day ahead of me. He told me, then come back when you have the time and he handed me back the credit card and put the gun back in the case.

I thought he was kinda off but he said most of his clients are referrals or repeats I was neither so he wanted to be sure i knew what i was doing with the gun before i left the store. If he felt that it was the wrong gun or i didn't know what i was doing i wasn't leaving the store with it.

The store was (room) was filling up I said I am holding you back. he responded they can wait or come back latter. Apparently, they were regulars and understood the drill. No one left they just gave me advice.

The odd part the whole package was about 100.00 less expensive than one of the large seller.

Yesterday my son and I were back this time my son bought a gun.

Yah know what this is the only place i will buy a firearm from now on

on a 5 point scale Pete's Gun Room (and it is a Room) is a 6
