Re: Jury Duty... lehigh county
You know, I've lived in PA for 8 years now and I have not once been called for jury duty. But, one guy I work with seems to get jury duty 2 or 3 times per year (yes, it's legit, he's not just trying to get out of work).
I've often wondered how they determine who gets called for jury duty in PA...

Direct from the Lebanon County web site
www.lebcounty.org
(Lehigh County may be different).
How was my name chosen for jury duty?
The process of selecting jurors begins when a computer randomly chooses names from the per capita tax rolls. If a person's name is chosen then a questionnaire is sent which includes questions that allow for a determination if the person may be qualified for jury duty.
I don't have a short temper, I just have a quick reaction to bullshit.

I had to do jury duty once when I lived in Communist Maryland (Harford Co.) and once you do it you are in the clear for 3 years before they can make you do it again. They might send the notice but you just send it back and mark where it says you have served in the past 3 yrs. You would think Pa would do something along those lines to spread it around some...
