Found this article today, dated March 20, 2009. "All Private Guns To Be Confiscated By Sept 2009, U.S. Tells Russia". http://www.whatdoesitmean.com/index1216.htm. Article is an interesting read. The name of Mr. Kissinger is prominent. Another reminder to us that we must remain ever vigilant, calm, cool, focused, and on target.

The tone seems a bit paranoid to me.

OTOH, if true, definitely SHTF, maybe TEOTWAWKI.

Nah , I call big steaming pile of BS on this "article " . It reads more like a blend of the writers imagination and a cut and paste job of headlines fron the MSM over the last few months .Reminds me of how the Anti's draft press releases. The writer mentions the recent spent ammo drama , but that was resolved the same day the piece was written , if not the day before .

Then you have Pelosi and Reid coming out publicly to quash Holders " renew the AWB " statement ( not that I trust them , but publicly coming out against renewal reduces their wiggle room if they try to bring it about later ). Then you have the recent letter to Holder from 64 Democratic Congress people telling him no on the AWB as well and ...........................................

Remaining vigilant , but this " article " just doesnt ring credible at all

Someone has their tin foil wrapped a BIT too tight.

I have said this before and I fully believe it:

1. If the feds tried you would have quite a few states leave the union almost instantly

2. Sooner or later someone will 'shoot back' (probably sooner than later) and when the first one does more will follow until it escalates out of control.

The feds know damn well that even mentioning the idea could very well be the cause of SHTF

DC hit the nail on the head. I think the two assumptions above are a good basis for discussing this issue. At least, I know exactly how I'm going to debate this at an event I'm going to tonight. I'll actually bookmark the article on my iPhone to show a few key ppl first. (A few friends who have adamantly anti-gun wives/gfs from Boston will be in attendance.)

Those who conspire against the 2nd amendment will chip away at your rights a little tiny bit at a time. That is what you have to remain vigilant against.

No one is idiotic enough to invite civil war by acting in the manner this article suggests.

Keryst, you state it well, in this case it's the internationalists who are doing the chipping away. And thanks to the moderator for placing this in the best forum. I, too, doubt gun confiscation is likely to happen as we have things now. This is a view from afar and perhaps they see more, or maybe differently, than we do. Hey, one thing we can do is to keep participating in firearms activities and buy more !
