After looking for the "right" condition BDA's, I finally completed the collection of all three calibers offered.

    45acp

    9mm

    38 Super

The .45acp is a test fired only "HJ" code (1978)
The 9mm is a "HH" code (1977) with less than 20 rounds through it.
The 38 Super is a "HH" code (1977) with probably less than 200 rounds through it.

When Sigs were first imported into the USA in 1977, one of the first importers was Browning. They were called BDA's which stood for Browning Double Action. They were chambered in 9mm, 45acp, and 38 Super. Browning imported them in 1977, 1978, and 1979. The total number that were imported varies depending on the source. The .45 was most common, followed by the 9mm. The 38 Supers are pretty scarce. I've seen some reports that there were only about 750 made in those 3 years.

    Here is some useless knowlege:
In the first episode of "Miami Vice", Sony Crockett carried a BDA before switching to a Bren Ten.

At first, I was jealous. Then, I was worried. Now, I'm just plain scared.
