From what I can recall, I was let go that evening and asked to come back for finger printing, and I complied. It was in my car, so legally it was mine, I thought I did the right thing. Guess I will continue to pay for this mistake even though I have "paid my debt to society". Now I cant protect my own life or the life of my wife in a city riddled with street crime and thugs sick enough to shoot police officers. I work two jobs, I pay my taxes. I should have back ground checked myself, but who thinks to do that? In my mind it was a speeding violation, that was more expensive than the pot fine. I was a STUPID 19 year old kid. Thanks for the reply.

This story get me so fucking angry. A guy gets caught with a burnt piece of paper when he's 19 and is boned for life. Incredible.

I love it when people say "weed is illegal, so tough shit. You shouldn't speak to or associate with anyone you suspect may use weed" when you're 19 freaking years old.

What pisses me off the most is how these cops pressure the hell out of these kids to consent to search so they can get a "bust" out of a bit of weed, a roach, or some paraphernalia and are making a massive group of people prohibited for life.

We really, really need to do something about this. I know at the moment we're fighting hard to keep the rights we still have, but we need to go on the offensive and win back rights that were lost over possession of a small amount of marijuana/paraphernalia etc.

Not quite. There is the possibility of expungement.

There is the reason on the letter.

    Good luck

Couldn't agree more. Tired of the police state, nanny state bullshit we endure... and it's getting worse with the nationalist socialists on the rise again.

Take a look at the requirment to get a FL LTCF. You might have luck with that and Pa honors it.

Just read through the FL stuff. Looks possible but also looks probable for denial.

Thanks. I am looking into expungement but I am really more concerned with possibly being arrested for "lieing". To be honest, this thing hasnt crossed my mind since 1999, but I already know what the reply to that will be. I feel like a criminal and apparently in the eyes of PICS, I am. I have been getting involved politically, went to Rep. Rohrer's 10th Amendment rally in Harrisburg and was really inspired, very proud to be an American... and now I feel like a 2nd class citizen. Amazing. I wish I could go back in time. Cant believe I wasted my 2nd Amendment on some dumb chick!!!! She wasnt even that hot.

Yeah, but ugly girls try harder. Keep fighting the good fight and let us know when you come out on top. The only difference between you, and me is luck. We are both now upstanding citizens who had a less than squeaky clean past. To be honest, life would be pretty lame if young kids followed all the rules and it's a damn shame that petty, harmless decisions made in our youth can haunt us for the rest of our lives and make us second class citizens.

Keep fighting the good fight, even if it means getting a lawyer. I'll send you some money if that's what it takes. We need to reverse this trend.

Have you gone on UJS portal and checked yourself out? What is the section and subsection of the conviction? It is under e-services>public web docket sheets>court of common pleas. Then seach by participant name and county. this is assuming that it occured in PA. If you need help, I am well versed in using the ujsportal.
