Default High Standard .22 target gun

Is $270 out the door a good price on a High Standard? I don't remember the model, but it is a target pistol with the weighted barrel (I think it is 6 and 1/2" or so) with compensaters and an ergonomic grip. The sights are adjustable. I think it is a 002 Sport King made in the late 60s.

For an original Hamden Ct. gun? That would be a great price! Grab that sucker and don't let him get away.

Even if repairs are needed, this would still be a good buy.
Go to http://www.highstandard.com/ and check current prices on new production and repair services, use the menu on the left side of the page. FWIW, I have a 35+ y.o. model 107, thay I've fired well over 100,000 rounds through and it still runs fine.

I know it is at least 30 years old, but think it might even have been produced back in the late 60's. They had three different models with different manufacture dates. All were at least 30 years old so from what I can find that means it would be the original Hamden, Ct. gun.

Yes, great price. I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Most all models of HS are great guns. The lowest on the rung would be the Duromatic but even they go for probably a little more than that price. I have a M103 Sport King and love it. Snatch it up man!!!!

I agree with the others. Get it. I have a 107 series HS that I purchased over 35 years ago. I used for it for Bullseye matches and it was the most accurate 22 I have ever owned.

Why have you not posted pictures of it yet? You should have it home by now. That's a great price.

I have been in love with HS ever since I saw them as a teenager. I still don't have one but one day I will, actually I'll put up a "auction" sight that is fairly unknown and they sell out of there fairly cheap (250-400). www.proxibid.com Now that I gave that up I'll probably never have one now...haha.. But I'd sooner see Penn residents with em'... Good deal man

Don't buy it. PM me the address of who is selling it so I can personally tell them about how they are scalping the Barry scare on such a shoddy pistol.

    You been to Cabelas?
I picked this up about 3 weeks ago.
    $300.

There were a few others, I picked this up because of the two barrels, two mags and original papers.
For the 300,,, I just has to take it home!
