Observations:

1. Somebody makes your food at McDonald's. Don't unduly upset them. Ever.

2. College? More like the 13th grade for some. We need to stop telling everyone that they're special snowflakes, but I suppose that that wouldn't be in line with the branding of HOPE and CHANGE.

McDonald's offers health care. Wanna know how I know? I was out of work since the end of November. Cathy got a job as director of a day care center, but it's a day care center facing challenges, and until she gets enrollement up (she is) the owner isn't offering benefits. Soo.... I've got no money coming in, we have no insurance, money is running out. Three weeks ago I started at McD's. It's not the first time I've been a grill cook for them. Grueling nasty work, minimum wage to start, but it's money coming in, and more importantly, they offer medical insurance.

So, if that young man wants insurance, and is willing to pay for it (the price is reasonable), he's got it. If that dude has been at McD's for four years and isn't in a management position, he needs to get a little ambition to go with his demonstrated willingness to work. If you stick with McD's, you can actually get into positions that pay fairly well.

McDonald's has the largest percentage of employee owners of any business that offers franchises. It is not the first place I would want to work, but damn it if I had to I would start as the freaking fry cook and within a year be managing my own store. Not because I am brilliant, but because whatever I do I will do it the best I can.

I couldn't believe that I got a fucking bun with pickles, onions, and ketchup, but with no fucking burger or even cheese. By the time I got to eating it I was about 15 minutes up the road so I wasn't about to go back and complain. I was pissed.
