The anti's belief is that the 2A is a 'collective' right which is currently addressed. If you really want to know what they believe the militia is, they believe it is now the Pennsylvania National Guard, or any state's National Guard. If you ask them about a militia, I'll bet a likely response is that you are free to join. In their mind, the capacity exists for you to be part of a militia and use firearms, as protected by the 2A.

Now, in my mind, a state or government sponsored 'militia', it not a militia at all. It's simply an arm of the Federal military, sold as being under state control. But if the Federal government can call it up and send it overseas, it's no longer a 'state' militia even in it's most basic form. That's just my opinion.

Furthermore, I truly believe the last vestiges of any 'state militia' that was acceptable in some form was the old Civil Defense forces which were in existence from WWI up through the end of the Cold War, later replaced by FEMA and DHS functions (i.e. rolled up as a bureaucratic endeavor managed by the Feds). I know this wasn't 'fully' what a militia would intend, but it was not uncommon for participants of the CD, or emergency recruits, to have rolled up to a scene with their own weapons, especially going back to WWI and WWII.

If the proverbial shit were truly to hit the fan then a militia would keep you (and maybe your family) safe temporarily. However, longer term we're all zombie food.

Domain privacy doesn't really mean much. All my domains have privacy enabled.

Of course, it would have been funny if registration email was AgentSmith@FBI.gov.

Holy necrothread! Is there a competition under way to see who can resurrect the oldest thread?

I would be willing to organize an information hub. A web site maybe - with log in. Maybe not, maybe that would create a list of "trouble makers"

I want to and am willing to do this. But is this needed, or will it help?
